Born in Czechoslavia she immigrated to the US at age 11 and became submerged in Spanish culture and became fluent in Spanish.

Recently in addition to her Latin repertoire, Marta began writing songs in English having written over 60 original songs and produced 5 albums as a leader. Whether writing in Czech, English or Spanish, her remarkable ability as a songwriter shines through all her work. In 2004 she began touring internationally appearing on stages and festivals around the world gaining well-deserved recognition for her unique artistry.
