"Have a Song on Me" celebrating Mr. B and Big Band Music of the 1940s and 50s with the B Swingers Big Band starring Steve Butler as Billy Eckstine with special guest Sabrina Carten paying tribute to Sarah Vaughn. Billy Eckstine, known as Mr. B, became the most influencial ballad singer during this era with an appealing baritone voice. His career culminated in 1959 with his collaboration with Count Basie with Mr. B swinging at his best. It has been said that Steve Butler "looks and sounds hauntingly similar to Billy Eckstine...capable and convincing" and the Big Band one of the best. Sabrina Carten is likewise convincing honoring Sarah Vaughn. |
